Travel back in time to explore the myths and legends that lie within the history of Taiwan with a powerful performance by Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan. Cloud Gate bring their greatest performance Songs of the Wanderers, back to the London stage with exquisite choreography, quite unlike any other, as it fuses both ancient and modern traditions. This stunning tribute is a feast for the eyes, although on a simple set, it is both striking and supports the story far beyond its Asian geographic boundary. What makes this performance so unique, however, is the three tonnes worth of shimmering golden rice grains that lie on the floor and continue to fall onto the stage floor as the dancers perform. Not only will there be a wealth of breathtaking performers, but there will also be a meditating monk throughout the entire production. This is a dramatic performance infused with the sounds of soulful Georgian folk music, creating a special evening for all who watch.
