Updated: 16 June 2016
In its fifth year SERET International – the Israeli Film & TV Festival — is coming to cinemas and cultural centres in London with over 20 top films and glimpses of the world-leading, innovative and passionate film and TV industry in Israel. Creating great cinema and TV that reflects themes that resonate however and wherever you’re living, the industry has become more outward-looking. The heart of the programme this year is the family and its diverse dynamic. From the relations between siblings to father/son aspirations, you will see family relationships being explored and revealed. The festival’s opening Gala will feature the UK premiere of The Kind Words, a multi-award-winning film, directed by Shemi Zarhin, who created some of Israel’s most successful and acclaimed movies over the last years. The comedy-drama stars four of Israel’s most internationally-renowned actors. SERET offers you the chance to get an exclusive insight in the world of filmmaking in Israel and in the incredible work being produced there.
