The follow-up to Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim (2013) has arrived, and Scott Eastwood has joined John Boyega (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) in the sequel. We speak to the stars to find out more about giant robots battling giant monsters, and what makes a great Blockbuster.

The son of one of the most famous actors alive, Eastwood is no stranger to the industry.

In recent years, however, the star has forged a name for himself in a number of hugely popular franchise films, from Suicide Squad (2016) to the 8th film in the Fast & Furious franchise last year.

We found out more about the movie where Boyega and Eastwood have to put aside their differences and team-up to pilot a Jaeger (the name given to the robots built to fight off the otherworldly threat facing the planet).

Pacific Rim Uprising is out in cinemas Friday 23rd March.
