Play With Colour At Dishoom’s Holi Festival

Picture of Stephanie Butler
Updated: 7 April 2016
If you are lucky enough to bag yourself a ticket for Dishoom’s most colourful event of the year, you are in for a treat. From Hindu legend, the festival of Holi is the special day where social boundaries are blurred with a rainbow of colours. To celebrate the triumph of good over evil and the beginning of spring, tonnes of ‘gulal’, brightly coloured powder, is thrown at anyone – whether they be your mother-in-law, boss or a complete stranger! Dishoom brings the excitement of the Indian tradition to London, with a back-to-back event in a historic boxing hall in Bethnal Green. It’s a family event during the day, with music, entertainment and street food, and in the evening, there will be an adult-only party with a DJ, a live band, Dishoom drinks and a backyard street food market – and, of course, plenty of vibrant gulal powder, mischievousness and riot!

📅 10 April 2016, Daytime Family Holi 12PM – 3PM, Evening Holi Party 6PM – 10PM

📍York Hall, 5 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green, London E2 9PJ
