Dubbed as one of the most ‘ambitious public art projects of recent years’, the peeps at the Illuminated River Foundation River Charity hope to give 17 London bridges a breath of fresh air with a load of extremely intricate lighting designs.
If you want to take a sneak peak at six of the lucky shortlisted teams, head to an awesome free exhibition at Royal Festival Hall. The amazing images are part of a competition launched earlier this year by the Mayor of London and the arty gurus at Illuminated River. It will cost about 20-million smackers to light up the bridges but the funds have been mostly raised from private sources, so it won’t cost you a single penny – score!
The winner will be revealed on Thursday December 8, but until then check out the cool designs below and judge them for yourself (we love them all by the way).
What do you think of the designs? Let us know in the comments.
