From high-end hot dogs to Peruvian DJs and ceviche, September in London is packed with foodie highlights.
Hot Dog Challenge at Borough Market
Monday 4 September
To celebrate Bubbledogs’ 5th Birthday, Sandia Chang will be throwing down the gauntlet to nine of the UK’s finest chefs, including The Fat Duck, two Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge, Tomos Parry, Smoking Goat’s Ali Borer and Shake Shack’s Mark Rosati. Chefs Jason Atherton, Richard Turner and Scott Collins will decide the champion hot dog, which will be on the menu for a month. The event will raise money for Action Against Hunger and the Red Cross.
Chincha Sundays at Ceviche Old St
First Sunday of the month, September – November
On the first Sunday of the month from September to November, Martin Morales will be hosting Chincha Sundays at Ceviche Old St, a celebration of Afro-Peruvian music with live performances, DJs and food and drink with an exclusive menu of one-off dishes created by Martin and exec chef Vito Reyes.
River Cottage at Borough Market
Borough Market and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall will be hosting a three course veg feast, marking the culmination of River Cottage’s month-long residency at Borough and celebrating the launch of Hugh’s new book, Much More Veg. Guest will be greeted with a cocktail before sitting down to a veg feast, all gathered round a main trestle table in the Borough Market Hall with dishes created by River Cottage Head Chef, Gelf Anderson.

Radio Alice, the champions of sourdough pizza in Clapham and Hoxton will be giving away 10 sourdough starter packs every Tuesday with bookings.
