Celebrate the tenth year of Field Day in Victoria Park with activities, games and live music. Set over two days, this event is ready to take you back to your childhood with classic games such as the egg and spoon race and new twists on originals — a nappy-wearing relay race, stag and hen themed tug of war, buggy wars and a chance to show off your pogoing skills are just a few examples. With the theme of ‘ageing’ going alongside their tenth anniversary, their annual eating competition consists of ten minutes to eat a cornucopia of food. Make your way through peeling onions, husking sweetcorn whilst blindfolded, nettle eating, a meringue-a-thon and a very messy blueberry pie to be eaten with your hands tied behind your back. Music is provided by Farnborough Concert Band of Royal British Legion and a Help For Heroes Brass Band. More live music that will have you jiving to the beat will be James Blake, Mystery Jets and Skepta, among many other famed faces.
