After its successful debut in 2015 with more than 10,000 visitors, Urban Village Fete is coming back even bigger and diverse this year. Drawing on local suppliers, designers and performers as well as offering a forum for top local talent, the event faces an addition of successful acts including brass band house music mayhem from Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners, life-sized slinkies, alongside a headline DJ set by Gilles Peterson. The free day out will also feature a range of curated designer marketplaces, street food vendors, walkabout entertainment, dance classes, unique pop-ups and a series of fascinating talks hosted by BBC Radio London’s Robert Elms. As if this wasn’t enough, there will also be interactive workshops and cultural activities for all ages, so whether you want to learn how to hula hoop or how to become a DJ, Urban Village Fete will give you the chance. So make the best out of your Sunday and head over to the fair, for a fun day out with friends and family!
