Crack out your tweed jacket and your most stylish cycling clothes for the eighth annual London Tweed Run. Cycle through historic streets and stop off at marvellous landmarks and hidden gems along the route through the city. Starting off in Clerkenwell, the 12-mile journey will showcase all types of bikes; from the penny-farthings and vintage two-wheelers to contemporary pedal-powered bikes, it will demonstrate a vast history of the two-wheeled vehicle. Eyes will also be on the cyclists themselves as prizes are awarded for the most perfectly dressed, the finest cycle wear, and, of course, the best moustache. The Run ends with a closing ceremony at Clerkenwell’s Spa Fields, complete with a Garden Party, live music, cocktails and a BBQ to allow you to soak up the tweed glory that surrounds you. So make sure you search through your wardrobe, dust off that old tweed jacket, brush your moustache and oil up your bike for a great day of tweed- and bicycle-filled fun.
