Former editor-in-chief of French Vogue Carine Roitfeld and her creative team at CR Studio have been announced as the third curators of the celebrated experiential event, The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series, which will take place in London this October.

Since its launch in 2015, the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series has captured our imagination and curiosity with their immersive experiences that have been created through partnerships with creative luminaries such as fashion photographer Nick Knight and musician FKA twigs.

Now, Roitfeld follows in their footsteps to create a truly fantastical event. Although it’s not yet been revealed what the founder of CR Fashion Book has planned, previous year’s have included live taxidermy presentations, immersive art installations, unique performances and illustration showcases. So we wait in anticipation to see what the queen of style has in order for us.

‘I’m a story teller, that’s my job as an editor and stylist,’ said Roitfeld. ‘This opportunity is completely different, and now my team at CR Studio and I have the opportunity to tell a story with the viewer actually experiencing the story as we tell it. It’s not a party, it’s a truly immersive experience. It’s a different way of thinking!’

Paying homage to Veuve Clicquot’s innovative founder, Madame Clicquot, who transformed her husband’s champagne business when she was widowed in 1805, the Widow Series, ‘seeks seminal creatives who have an unfulfilled desire or passion project they wish to bring to life mirroring the values of Madame Clicquot.’
