London’s first pug cafe is opening – and we’re sure it’ll be bark-tastic.
Take walkies down to the cafe in Brick Lane, which is opening as a pop-up from October 27–29.
It offers a full range of pug events and you can attend as a pug owner, bringing your beloved pooch with you, or as a pug lover.
Open from 9am–9pm, you must book in advance to attend, and tickets are selling fast.
Choose from Pugs and Cocktails, Pug High Tea, Puppy Hour and Pugloween, to enjoy while mingling with one of the UK’s most popular dog breeds.
The café will serve a range of barkery goods for both puppers and humans. Dog-themed drinks will be on offer, such as the Pugkin Latte, as well as delicious woofins, pugcakes and pawfully tasty cookies.
You’ll be able to buy luxury treats for your best friend in the café, including stylish dog beds and fashion-forward collars.
This concept was created by Aida Martinez and her partner, Bartosz Kolodziejczyk and their admin, an eight-month-old pug called Mia. The idea came about after the couple wanted Mia to be able to socialise with other dogs while they worked full-time.
Pugs & Pals is collaborating with Pug Dog Welfare and Rescue Association, Muffin Pug Rescue and French Bulldog Saviours in various activities through the café, such as raising awareness of health conditions associated with these breeds, fundraising and re-homing of some of their dogs through the café. Pugs & Pals will also donate part of the funds gathered by the events to the three organisations to further support their activities.
