This Saturday, you may notice something a bit different about the streets of central London. No, you’re not in a film adaptation of the Emperor’s New Clothes but amidst the World Naked Bike Ride. Beginning at six different points around central London, take part or watch from the sidelines as this world famous bike ride comes back to London for its 12th year. Whilst many people know the Naked Bike Ride as a chance to giggle unashamedly at naked people, the bike ride is historically a protest-come-promotion, against the overuse of cars in cities as well as a promotion of cycling to reduce carbon emissions. But, to make it more light-hearted, the event promotes fancy dress, body paint and bike decoration! So, whether you’re taking part for environmental reasons or merely to feel more liberated, this is a great event for all. On your bike!
