Arcade Fire Are Playing in London and You Need to Be There

Watching Arcade Fire perform live is as close as you’ll get to having a spiritual experience without going to church.

Their shows are transcendental, raucous and uplifting so lucky for us that they’re playing three shows this week at The SSE Arena in Wembley, London.

The band are currently touring the UK in support of their latest album Everything Now.

They’ll be playing on Wednesday to Friday before heading to Birmingham and Glasgow to finish up their run of shows.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, frontman Win Butler said they were doing everything they could to get the audience to join in and claimed their party trick of marching into the audience during gigs was a good tactic.

He said: ‘We’re trying to connect, trying to get people in the back to engage. With the Reflektor tour one of the reasons for asking people to dress up for the shows was that we were then able to wear masks and be in the crowd and hang out and have a vibe of what’s going on.

‘There’s a certain power in the rock star: they’re bigger than life and you can’t touch them. Being in the audience breaks that wall.’

Once they’ve destroyed that wall, you will dance. You won’t be able to help yourself.
