To celebrate the launch of their R2 design, the latest in the NMD family, Adidas teamed up with London photographer @peoplewalkingpastwalls and showcased some über niche hidden gems in the big smoke.
Designed to embody ‘the future of urban exploration’ the NMD collection offers versatile and stylish design, drawing on classic Adidas silhouettes and adding a contemporary, futuristic twist. The new trainers are made from ‘shadow knit’ technique, where trainers transform colour in different lights. There’s much that’s familiar too, with both mens and women’s styles receiving the single panel treatment that bends around the foot as well as the signature white BOOST finish.
Peoplewalkingpastwalls has become a cult Instagram account. Founded by photographer Amanda Taylor, the premise of the account is a simple one, providing candid shots of city life through striking juxtapositions of residents and its architecture. While Amanda is based in London, the account has evolved to include contributions from across the world. Meanwhile Taylor’s own work offers bright and striking portraits of London life.
The series also showcases the best of Adidas Original clothes, with loose fit polo sweatshirts and tailored three stripe tracksuits. Cool and classic, this is Adidas doing what they do best – it’s time to get inspired and go and discover London for yourself.
