As we all know, Chelsea is the playground for the rich and the richer. It’s not a place known for it’s subtlety; people wear their wealth proudly and the clothing, cars and houses in this swanky part of town certainly reflect this. Here’s a glimpse of the fancy neighbourhood in 16 Insta pics.
These gorgeous little Georgian-style houses are just on the tasteful side of Balamory-esque.
If your paint job is a little more muted, a splash of colour can be added with a stunning window box…everyone’s doing it dahhling.
If flowers aren’t your thing, it doesn’t get much classier than a two-way stair set leading to your wooden door shrouded in greenery.
If you need to get around Chelsea there simply is no other way to go than a vintage Porsche…
If you’re going to stay cool on the Kings Road you can’t be slurping on a Calippo. Gelato, dear, gelato.
About that vintage Porsche… a powder blue E-Type Jag is also acceptable transportation.
…but that’s just a little too much, isn’t it?
Window boxes: sometimes less is more. Not a phrase you hear much in this neck of the woods, admittedly.
Wallets at the ready, it’s time to burn through some of your hard earned cheddar…
All that shopping can build up an appetite, time to stop for a bite to eat.
The options are endless. Climb into the Ivy or visit The Bluebird when you’re peckish?
Even when the clouds roll in, Sloane Square still looks very smart.
Understatement is not in the vocabulary here. Cherubim straddling a stone fountain? Sure.
Even the street signs are a little bit fancy…
Remember to check out Isaac Newton contemplating the gravity of the situation in the Chelsea Physics Garden.
That’s the end of our tour around Chelsea…thank goodness my groceries have arrived.
