Yes, we’ve finally reached peak avocado, but in a good way. Street food market, Last Days of Shoreditch recently announced that it will be hosting London’s first dedicated avo bar – at least it’s better than those avolattes we saw last week…
So who do we have to thank for this? Italian street-food traders Belli Freschi (and the avo goddesses) conjured up the concept, but wanted to give it a fresh, healthy supremely summery, and very sexy, Mediterranean twist. From devilishly exotic avocado tempura laced in dripping Italian herb dips (divine) to avo burgers sandwiched between some rather spongy crostini buns and avocado hot dogs topped with caramelised carrot, there’s plenty to ‘avo go at’.
The fabulous bar is part of Last Days of Shoreditch’s (pictured above) revamp for summer 2017. Expect lots of DJs, a Riviera vibe (minus the toffs), plenty of cocktails, palm trees, the odd inflatable flamingo/unicorn and a fab deck to laze on. Oh, and what’s even better is that they’ll even be a little ‘urban beach’ to chillax on too. With all that booze, fun and food, you’ll be off your avos in no time.
Trust us. Your Instagram feed needs this.
Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera is at 288 Old St, EC1V 9LA. It’s open Thursday–Saturday throughout the summer. Entry is free on Thursdays, Fridays and after 9pm on Saturdays.
