Get stuck into a chocolate workshop

Have an adventure in Moominland

Discover the world of the Moomins at an interactive exhibition in the Southbank Centre. Adventures in Moominland traces the Finnish author Tove Jansson’s history as you explore her world. Booking is essential.

Check out Ministry of Sound’s Easter special

Get down to Prince

At Hackney’s Moth Club there’s a one night special on Good Friday. When Doves Cry will celebrate the music of the purple genius, Prince. Dress up and get down there early, it’ll be packed.

Hunt down an Easter egg

Over at Hampton Court they’ve taken things up a notch with a Lindt Gold Bunny hunt. Track down the chocolate through clues hidden around the palace. The price for the event is included in your ticket.

Be a culture vulture

Easter isn’t just about chocolate. The David Hockney retrospective at Tate Britain is one of the hottest tickets this spring. Discover a quiet world of reflection while browsing the enormous breadth of his vibrant work.

Stop for crumpets and hot chocolate on Old Street

New ethical chocolate brand Love Cocoa will have a chocolate shop pop-up until Easter Monday at Old Street station. Indulge in a delicious hot chocolate or chocolate covered crumpets, and don’t forget to buy some goodies to take home.

Set sail for Greenwich

The Tall Ships Regatta will be stopping in Greenwich over Easter weekend. Thirty historic sailing ships will be making last-minute provisions before they set off on Easter Monday to sail to Canada – a journey that will take three months. Book a dinner cruise on board or just head down to watch the nightly fireworks.

Go mad for afternoon tea

At the Sanderson Hotel, the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea will be getting an Easter makeover with the addition of a special Easter cake and lots of chocolates. Take a trip to Wonderland and treat yourself to a glass of fizz while you’re at it.

Get your funk on

The South London Soul Train will be in Peckham on Easter Saturday, bringing with it the sultry sounds of funk, Motown and plenty of grooves to dance to. It’s hosted by Jazzheadchronic, so climb aboard.
