Heaven Independent Cafe

The porridge is hearty and warming with a generous sized portion that will keep you going all morning. La Bottega Milanese

La Bottega Milanese is Leeds first award winning late night espresso bar that has been receiving rave reviews since it first opened. This is a great place to get lunch as they have a delicious and reasonably priced food selection as well as Italian coffee and and an Italian patisserie selection. The atmosphere is always lively and fun and the baristas are friendly and passionate about their craft.

LS6

LS6, otherwise known as The Clock Cafe, has one of the best breakfast menu’s going. They then follow this up with a separate brunch menu, so there is no end of choice. Choices range from a classic Yorkshire Full English to the Huevos Rancheros if you’re up for trying something a bit different. The inside is bright and colourful with some interesting wall art and a great selection of board games while you wait for your food.

The Greedy Pig

If you’re looking for a full English then The Greedy Pig is the place to go. They do a great meat and veggie version as well as breakfast baps and other brunch classics. The cafe is a little hidden gem that has been loved by those who live locally for years. The cafe is becoming increasingly popular as word travels fast so it’s worth visiting soon. Look out for the bacon jam, it sounds weird but is definitely worth a try!

Popinas

Breakfast shouldn’t just be restricted to the morning and Popina’s know this, that’s why they sere it all day long to those who know that a full English is still appropriate at dinner time. They have good vegetarian options and a great omelette selection for those who aren’t so keen on a fry up. If you do love fry up’s however, then it’s worth trying the mega breakfast, Popina’s own version of the man vs food challenge, they promise if you eat it you get added to the prestigious mega eating challenge board and win a much sought after key ring.

The Joint

The Leeds independent start up venture Get Baked, that delivered sweet treats to your door and was much loved by students. It has now opened up it’s first restaurant called The Joint with much success. Global Tribe Cafe

Breakfast doesn’t always have to be unhealthy fry ups and fatty pancakes. Whilst these are great sometimes it’s nice to start the day healthily. At least that’s what the people at Global Tribe Cafe think, having created a delicious breakfast menu that is totally vegan and vegetarian. Considering the vegetarian breakfast options can sometimes be a little unimaginative this is a refreshing take on breakfast classics such as the full English packed full of things that are actually good for you. The cafe is warm and cosy, perfect for escaping the harsh winter months and the staff all friendly and inviting.

Outlaws Yacht Club

If you’re looking for a good cup of coffee in Leeds then you can’t do much better than Outlaws Yacht Club. With their own unique espresso blend from local coffee brewers North Star, they serve a delicious and reasonably priced coffee menu as well as a great selection of speciality teas. This is a great place for brunch as they have a good selection of sandwiches and meat and cheese boards as well as cakes and brownies. Mrs Atha’s

There are so many reasons to visit Mrs Atha’s; the fantastic coffee, the extensive menu made using the best local produce, the selection of unbelievably delicious cakes, the cosy dark wood interior that feels warm even during the coldest winter months. We recommend the avocado on toast for breakfast. It’s not only healthy but really delicious and the portion sizes are generous.

If you live locally to Headingly area then Cafe Lento is the place to go for breakfast. It’s a small family run business serving a great menu that is freshly made using good ingredients. They have full English, breakfast baps, omelette and a great light dishes selection that are ideal for brunch. The food is inexpensive and the service is great. The interior is also lovely and has a homely feel to make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
