Sick of queuing at the bar, squeezing onto the dancefloor and waiting around in restaurants? There’s so much more to Leeds nightlife than your usual fare, despite the city’s array of interesting bars and restaurants. Looking for something a little bit different? Read on for six of our favourite suggestions.
The Leeds branch of the popular BrewDog chain is a little more exciting than your average bar. The industrial chic décor, 35 draft taps and plentiful seating is reason enough to visit, but if you’re after an alternative night out, head downstairs and claim one of their three shuffleboard tables for the night. Once you’re finished competing against anyone who’ll challenge you, check out their selection of vintage arcade games and pinball machines to continue your winning streak.
Alongside their interesting array of contemporary art works, The Tetley have a varied evening programme that includes art walks, talks and events throughout the huge ex-brewery. Visit on a Wednesday to enjoy a bite to eat or a pint to sip in the bar and kitchen, before making the most of the gallery’s late night and exploring the current exhibits.
OPEN STUDIO – Join artist @jennycsteele on Wednesday 5 & 19 April, 6-8pm for a #FREE Open Studio to see the process of her forthcoming exhibition in @t_barandkitchen 'This House For Building' which explores The Tetley's architectural history during the buildings construction in 1931. #Free, all welcome! #openstudio #jennysteele #leeds #gallery #exhibition
