New Year’s Eve may be overhyped and overpriced, but there’s no denying that it’s the biggest night of the year. With less than eight weeks to go before the big night, we’ve pulled together 10 suggestions for places to party in and around Manchester city centre. Whether you’re after all-night celebrations or a refined meal, here are our top suggestions for ringing in 2018 in Manchester.

Book a room in the Lowry Hotel and a reservation for their black-tie New Year’s Eve experience in the River Restaurant. Guests will enjoy a four-course gourmet dinner, complimentary Champagne and an exciting midnight fireworks display.

The Oast House

The best bit about choosing The Oast House for your New Year celebrations is that you have the choice of exploring the main bar, the Teepee and the Courtyard throughout the night. There will be bands and DJs performing throughout the night and Wish Upon A Sparkle will be on hand to apply face and body glitter for the guests. The evening also serves as a temporary closing party since the venue is going under refurbishment for the first three months of next year.
