Updated: 26 May 2016
Presenting in their inimitable style, the all-male dance company BalletBoyz returns to Cambridge with their brand new show, Life. Founded in 2001 by dancer Michael Nunn and Billy Trevitt – after both training at the Royal Ballet – the company immediately made a significant impact on the dance industry. After retiring, Nunn and Trevitt selected eight male dancers to begin their first project TALENT and five years later the company has expanded to 10 dancers. Their latest production Life takes an elegant, powerful and provocative look at life and death, featuring two new commissions by internationally acclaimed choreographers Pontus Lidberg and Javier de Frutos, and performing to a mesmerising and evocative score. With rippling torsos, reckless leaps and a sense of shared joy in their performances, the Balletboyz create a show that you shouldn’t miss.
