What better way to immerse in the local culture than by admiring the art” When in the neighborhood, make sure to drop by the Biscuit Factory, a contemporary museum just outside of Heaton. It is one of the largest art, craft and design galleries in the United Kingdom. Set in a Victorian-era warehouse, the art here contrasts with the location, making the display of work even more appealing. The gallery hosts around four exhibitions every year, featuring a few hundred individual pieces each time.

The wooded strip that stretches for more than three kilometers beside the River Ouseburn is home to a wide assortment of birds and animals, while the waterfall here really is the piece de resistance!

Seven stories retrieved its name when its owners occupied a seven-storey Victorian warehouse. The owners had heard concerns for the future of children’s literature, so decided to give back to the community by creating a shelter for all these wonderful tales and narratives.
