Think Big Ben is the UK’s top attraction? Well, you’re wrong. The Harry Potter Studio Tour tops the list. Surprised? Don’t be. You’d think the Grand Canyon would be at the tippy top the USA’s most visited, but it turns out New York’s Central Park is where everyone wants to flock to. Shocker.
Some countries do conform to their iconic attractions though – The Great Wall of China, Spain’s Sagrada Família, India’s Taj Mahal and South Africa’s Table Mountain all reign supreme.
Unsurprisingly, natural wonders are the most visited throughout the world, followed by areas of historic, religious and architectural interest. 24 stunning beaches, 19 museums, 19 national parks, 10 castles and nine waterfalls also made the list.
