Although it seems like the cast of everyone’s favourite sitcom Friends never left their lavish apartments, with the exception of occasionally going to work and a trip to Central Perk for coffee, this map shows that they were actually a well-travelled bunch.

Some of the locations will be familiar to all of us, who can forget the double episode from London where Ross (David Schwimmer) mixed up his vows and Monica (Courtney Cox) finally hooked up with Chandler (Matthew Perry)? But then some of the trips the gang made are a little more obscure.

To help you out we’ve also added in the details of where the characters went to, and an episode guide to jog your memories.

The Yemen trip is a sneaky one to include, but then Chandler was being sneaky in the first place! In an attempt to break up with Janice (again), the joker of the Friends pack made up an elaborate ruse which included buying a ticket to Yemen and then boarding the plane to go.

Where have the Friends travelled to?

Yes, here’s the London trip we all know so well… but how many of you remember Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) going off to Greece as a result of it?

Friends travel locations

Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Chandler, Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Monica, Ross and Rachel are generally a well-behaved group. Sure they have their eccentricities, but on the whole they are pretty bland. Things change dramatically when the gang end up in Vegas to surprise Joey who has been working in a casino after the film he was meant to star in folded. Ross and Rachel get particularly stuck into the party spirit and after a debauched evening of mayhem, they end up getting hitched.

Ending on a high…

The “Sharks” episode is generally loathed by fans of the series, and rightly so. Instead, the two-part Barbados adventure ends up seeing more relationships begin and end than the average episode of Don’t Tell the Bride!

To cap it all off, the final episode sees Ross rush to the airport in an attempt to tell Rachel how he really feels about her.
