The Queen's Fake Tweets Perfectly Sum Up British Humour

Reigning since 1953, the Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (and Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc.) is somewhat of an enigma. Culturally, she represents over 1000 years of British history, culture and tradition. Constitutionally, she has the right to be informed, consulted and to warn the government of the day, but all in total and absolute privacy during her weekly audiences with Prime Minister Theresa May. If only we knew exactly what she was thinking. Thankfully, we do. Well, sort of…

Out of curiosity, Twitter user @Queen_UK has been tweeting what the Queen could be thinking during and after her audiences on a rather glorious spoof twitter account. After celebrating such milestones as her 90th birthday and her Sapphire Jubilee, what better way is there to celebrate Her Maj than with a few hilarious and very British tweets. Here’s a few of the best.

When she was bang on right about the Panama Papers…

When she encapsulates how we all feel on Mondays…

And on Fridays…

When she says what we’re all thinking when ‘Celebrity’ Big Brother hits our screens…

When she went brutal on government transportation…

When she shared her views on the International Debt Crisis…

When she reminds America who is boss of the English language…

When the Governor General of Canada touched her…

When she had to attend the State Opening of Parliament after a heavy night…

When Camilla stepped out of line…

When the King of Spain had another history lesson…

And when the King of Spain got politically schooled…

When the Queen declared the Prime Minister was now on her official radar…

When the Queen got serious…

And when the Queen got humorous…

When The Queen did this…

When the Queen got casual…

When the Queen said what the world felt…

When the Queen got serious on one of her cousins…

When the Queen started her own fashion line…

When the Queen went to buy a new rug for the palace…

And finally, when the Queen celebrated her jubilee with a nice glass of gin…
