The Isle of Skye Has Just Been Voted The Best Place To Live In Britain

Housing giants Rightmove recently asked people where they think the most desirable place is to live in Britain. To our amazement, places like London never made the list because it turns out nature totally trumps the ‘Big Smoke.’ So, who reigned supreme? After thousands voted in the social media poll, the nation crowned the Isle of Skye as their winner.

On the study’s findings, Rightmove research manager Abiola Oni said: “people clearly want to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and settle down in some of the most beautiful places around Britain, from as far north as the Isle of Skye to as far south as the glitzy town of Salcombe. It’s interesting that none of the areas are in the highest-priced regions of Britain – London and the South-East – likely because the appeal of some of the big cities is the good job options and transport links rather than moving for the amazing scenery.”
