Cornwall has embraced Airbnb culture like nowhere else; handmade tree houses offer coastal living, lakeside converted shipping containers hide away from the world and gorgeous Georgian houses let you holiday in complete and utter luxury. Whether you’re looking for a retreat with character or a sumptuous bed to spend your days in, there’s something for everyone in the Royal Duchy.

Riverside Cabin

Why book a hotel when you can snooze in a handmade bed, carved from the woodland outside, while surrounded by trickling rivers and birdsong? Riverside Cabin is beautifully crafted by hand — it is outdoor living at its best. Outside is a fire pit for al fresco dining, a stream to paddle in and woodlands to explore. Peace and quiet are of the most importance here.

Everything in this treehouse has been made to spec, with some serious care and love going into each item’s multiple uses. Upstairs is a bed which fits into the eaves, so you can sleep just in your own personal cloud.

There’s little better than staring out to sea, and at this lovely little self-contained studio you can do just that for as many hours as you please.
