Updated: 26 May 2016
Once a month on a Wednesday at the Tron, Moon Country night is held, where Peter Arnott and his friends present new writing in a free form, fun way. Each performance will showcase one of five exciting of new pieces of work and the session will open and close with a musical guest. This June, the Tron presents Border. Blue Dog. And Blueberry Lollipops by Heloise Thual. The young playwright, writing both in French, her native language, and in English, is particularly interested in tackling issues regarding bisexuality, transsexuality and investigating the transgressive space between the archetypal notion of masculinity and femininity. Aiming to provoke the audience and engage them to think about the relation between the natural disposition of an individual and cultural expectations, her female characters are defined by what are seen as masculine attributes. This monthly event is especially for those who are interested in seeing the work of newcomers and supporting their talent.
