If you needed any convincing that Wonder Woman is all about female empowerment, you only need to look to the latest trend going viral on Twitter.

Under the hashtag #WWgotyourback, women across social media are replicating Wonder Woman’s style of wearing her sword tucked into the back of her dress.

In the film, Diana (played by Gal Gadot) makes hiding a huge lump of metal (also known as the ‘god killer’) in the back of a ball gown look like child’s play, which immediately had women around the world wondering how easy it would be to replicate IRL.

From novelty versions to actual weapons (which surprisingly, there seems to be a lot of), social media is currently full of women coveting the sword as the latest accessory. The dedication is testament to the film’s empowering message, and the way in which it has inspired women to be their best and most badass selves. Check out the best of the #WWgotyourback trend below.

It. Works. Probably not with a fully sharpened sword, though! #wwgotyourback #godkillerchallenge #wonderwoman #sword
