Lviv is a city with an extraordinary number of catering places of high service and amusing concepts. Along with traditional Ukrainian cuisine, you can also find Italian, French, and Asian restaurants. When choosing the place, tourists usually pay attention to the queue in front of it (the longer, the better). But to save precious time, check out our list and do not forget to book a table in advance.

Churrasco Bar

In Churrasco, you can gorge as long as it takes and pay a fixed price of 299 UAH ($12) after all. This place has a culture of supplying customers with meat without any limits, accompanied by sides and sauces. But first, you get a meze: salads, snacks, cheeses, side dishes, and bread. The feature of the restaurant is mangalitsa (special breed curly pigs). Alcoholic drinks are not included in the offer.

Baczewski Restaurant

Restaurant of Meat and Justice

If you travel to Lviv in order to get unusual experiences and satisfy your taste preferences at the same time, the Restaurant of Meat and Justice is for sure what you have been looking for. According to the legend, the restaurant became the last business of the Lviv executioner, who did not manage to find a job in his field. The restaurant specializes in the preparation of different meat dishes that are cut with the help of medieval tortures tools by the executioner in the flesh.

Arsenal Ribs and Spirits

On the territory of the first weapons factory in Lviv, there is a restaurant called Arsenal Ribs and Spirits. Its decorations are the unique collection of medieval historical weapons and replicas, while the rooms are stylized as in the Medieval times. The main dish of the restaurant is juicy pork ribs, carefully marinated and cooked on an open fire. Moreover, the waiters don’t serve you with any cutlery, so you eat with your hands. Sounds fun, isn’t it?

Amadeus

Amadeus is known as an atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Lviv and is quite an expensive one. Locals love its perfectly made curry with apples and almonds, marble meat steaks, and vast selection of desserts and gladly advise tourists to try it. The exquisite chamber interior in the Old Austrian style proves that every single detail of the décor was planned beforehand. Amadeus is exactly the restaurant that you would like to come back to.

Bar Mushly

Craving some posh life, but don’t want to spend a lot of money? Oysters and prosecco on democratic prices can be found in Bar Mushly. The European seafood restaurant, opened by one of the most famous restaurateurs of Ukraine Dmitry Borisov, has a very central location and a large choice of shrimps, lobsters, and crab dishes. Either romantic date or family dinner, the Bar Mushly is a great choice.

Trout, Bread and Wine

When in Lviv, Trout, Bread and Wine restaurant is worth coming to. It is known for the baked Carpathian trout along with a fragrant fresh baguette and wine. The variations of modest river fish are endless; you can even ask for a dish that is not included in the menu. The Trout, Bread and Wine is a cozy two-story restaurant on the Arsenal square. Inside, everyone can play a sumra—a kind of Carpathian trumpet.

The Most Expensive Galician Restaurant

The title of The Most Expensive Galician Restaurant was established by locals and for good reason. The concept of the venue is a mysterious Masonic society that occupies an apartment in the old building. Actually, this place is considered to be the most expensive restaurant in Ukraine, unless you have a client loyalty card that makes prices 10 times lower.

Left Bank

Restaurant-museum Left Bank is a unique place that is situated under the Lviv Opera house on the shore of the Plotva River. The interior is made in the form of a theatre buffet. Here you can often listen to live music and also watch the rehearsals of the Lviv Orchestra. The Left Bank offers mainly Galician cuisine and a huge choice of local beers. It is a bizarre place to spend an evening at, but you will remember this experience forever.
