Vegan and raw or traditional European and Ukrainian cuisine dishes are offered in all the possible variations. The prices are surprisingly cheap.

Svit kavy

Svit kavy is famous for its fragrant coffee and a unique atmosphere. What else do you need in the morning? The barista is a regular participant of the All-Ukrainian Coffee Championship, who are professionals in their business. For breakfast, Svit kavy has special offers on low prices. For instance, a mozzarella or ham ciabatta sandwich costs 50 UAH ($2), homemade yogurt with muesli, fruit, and honey is 45 UAH ($1.80), and oatmeal porridge with jam is 30 UAH ($1.20).

SHOco. is modern confectionery with a large choice of breakfast meals available until 5 p.m. You can try a classic omelet for only 29 UAH ($1.20), various granola dishes, or get poached eggs with ham for 49 UAH ($2). The café also offers fresh pastries and handmade sweets. The interior is modern: pastel colors, flowers, soft lighting, and Art Nouveau furniture. It is a calm and friendly place to start your saturated day in.

Medellin

Medellin is a small and cozy place where coffee and milkshakes, tea, and fresh pastries are served. Those who need to spend a couple of hours there, working on their laptop or having a meeting, will be pleased with the unostentatious ambiance and background music. For fun brunches and big companies, you can always ask for some board games, puzzles, or books. In front of the Medellin, there is one of the most Instagramable spots of Lviv city—a colorful bus with Christmas lights on.

Something interesting

In one of the courtyards of the Market Square, there is a place where the paintings of young Ukrainian and Polish artists are exhibited. The creative space called Something interesting is an open-air gallery and a lovely courtyard to get an early breakfast (from 6 o’clock in the morning). You will be greeted with handmade confectionary, syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes), and coffee. The prices are surprisingly cheap. The most expensive option you will get for 50 UAH (2$).

Cabinet

Literary café Cabinet is a venue where you can come for Sunday brunch, jazz music, and fresh collection of the press. Comfortable antique tables, sofas, and quality literature contribute to a pleasant conversation while enjoying delicious dishes of Galician cuisine. It is the most stylish venue in the city, which is for sure a must-visit when in Lviv.

Atlas

To get a real aesthetic pleasure, come to the Atlas. The restaurant has five rooms: Knights (Galician), Barrel, Green, White, and Grey. Each room is decorated with numerous portraits of Galician monarchs, princes, and knights, telling the story of their life. The menu offers visitors a wide range of traditional Galician dishes prepared with old recipes. Nalisniki (rolled pancakes with sweet filling) or granola yogurt makes it worth coming early in the morning.

Veronica

The most visited Lviv patisserie-restaurant, Veronica, is situated in the city center. Despite the place having two halls, it is always crowded there. They serve European and traditional Ukrainian cuisine and have their own confectionery shop. The sweets and baking from Veronica are true works of art: lush croissants and brioches with various fillings, home-made cheese, pies, strawberries with chocolate, and an immense selection of bread variations. Veronica is a place where food is not only delicious but also beautiful.

Lviv Coffee Manufacture is the only manufacturer in the world where the coffee is mined in front of the guests. Everyone can get down to the mine, where you can taste various varieties of coffee brought from Italy, Brazil, and other countries and listen to the history of Lviv.
