The vibrant port city in Turkey is as popular with bohemian travellers as it is with the rich and famous, thanks to the historic castles, beautiful beaches and exciting nightlife. If you’re wondering where to stay in town, here’s a selection of the best hotels in Bodrum.

Work up a sweat with some fun outdoor beach sports, and then cool off with a dip in the sea or the hotel infinity pool. One particular highlight is the Glass Lounge, which features outdoor sunken terraces designed to encourage socialising while still providing privacy. Salmakis also features a private beach, Blue Flag Bay, which boasts spectacular views of Bodrum Castle. This luxury resort is just 500m (1640ft) away from Bodrum centre, making it an ideal base if you want to go out and explore the town’s cosmopolitan bars and traditional stores. However, the Diamond of Bodrum is so luxurious, you’d be forgiven for not stepping foot outside the hotel grounds. Guests can enjoy a private beach, and indoor and outdoor pools. It’s also just a half-hour cab ride from Milas-Bodrum Airport, making it a convenient option if you want to remove the stress of travelling.

If you’ve been enjoying Bodrum’s restaurants a little too much, you can work it all off at Ramada Resort. Bodrum is famous for its history and culture, but if you stay at Labranda you might miss it all. The hotel has so many amenities, you might need to book an extra week to sample them all.
