Kiki

A real neighborhood bar, Kiki has been around for years and is forever crowded with Istanbul’s cool hipster crowd. There’s always a new DJ at weekends, and the garden out the back is a perfect retreat.

Open since 1994, almost every Istanbul local has been to Roxy at some point in their lives, whether to see a Turkish pop legend or an internationally recognized folk singer. At Roxy there’s always something going down at weekends and it’s a great bet for after midnight.

Peyote

Another legend on the Taksim nightlife scene, Peyote is the best place to get acquainted with Istanbul’s underground music scene. With three floors that offer different musical genres, Peyote is a great venue to check out everything from DJs to live alternative bands.

Minimüzikhol

Minimüzikhol is the most popular place to go for a pretty rampant after hours party; sometimes it’s a little difficult to get in considering the club is a ground floor apartment. You’ll find DJs playing some deep house and a lot of people partying hard.

Salon IKSV

The performance venue of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), Salon IKSV is one of the best concert venues in Istanbul, with an eclectic offering every season. Make sure to keep track of their program for the latest contemporary music and theater performances, as well as literary events and workshops.

Mikla

For those who prefer their nightlife a bit more upscale, Mikla’s bar is the perfect place for a cocktail in a chic atmosphere. You’ll also fall in love with the amazing view, as well as the rooftop bar that’s open in the summer. If you get hungry, Mikla is also one of the city’s best haute cuisine restaurants.

Georges Hotel

Another upscale option when it comes to a quiet cocktail with a beautiful city view, Georges Hotel is one of Istanbul’s most chic boutique hotels and it’s terrace bar reflects the cool vibe. In the summer the retractable roof opens up to reveal the night sky and all the lights of Istanbul.
