This cosy café is located in the center of Vondelpark and is surrounded by lush meadows and bushes. Its bar and dining room are housed inside of an monumental circular building that represents the nieuwe bouwen movement’s unique aesthetic. Its elevated terrace offers unparalleled views across Vondelpark, while its lower floor leads onto a huge beer garden. ‘T Blauwe Theehuis regularly holds large parties and can be hired for private events.

The Butcher’s Tears Tasting Room

The Butcher’s Tears is the dark horse of Amsterdam’s craft brewers. Its team use experimental techniques to create delicious beers with a bite, mixing time honed recipes with modern artisan methods. The brewery is at the tail-end of Oud-Zuid inside of an old industrial complex. A small tasting room is attached to its main plant and serves a rotating line of beers from its stainless steel taps.

Cobra Café

Cobra Café overlooks Museumplein, a short walk away from the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk and the Iamsterdam sign. Its interior is inspired by the cobra movement and contains a wooden statue of Karel Appel as well as several paintings that resemble work by Constant. In summer guests can enjoy drinks on Cobra’s beautiful terrace, while during winter they can watch skaters gliding on Museumplein’s ice-rink.
