Updated: 5 January 2017
The 55th Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition will see Switzerland showcasing Valentin Carron’s works. The Swiss artist is known for confronting national identity, the vernacular and appropriation; themes which are embodied in his impressively crafted sculptures and installations.

Carron joins a long list of renowned artists who have occupied the Swiss pavilion, which includes Thomas Hirschhorn, an artist who memorably represented Switzerland at the 2011 Venice Biennale.
