1. Agave

Popular with locals of all ages, Agave offers an intimate atmosphere and tequila-based drinks of all kinds. Stop by on Wednesdays for a music quiz night, or to quench your thirst at Thursday’s event – Thirstday. 2. O’Connor’s

O’Connor’s is a funky Irish bar, located on Uppsala’s main square. Chill out with a glass of beer and listen to live music concerts hosted every evening in the bar. Despite its size, the bar has a cozy atmosphere, created by simple design and an open fireplace. During summer months, you can chill outside on their large terrace. Stop by earlier in the day and try their distinguished goulash, before settling in with a drink for a great concert of both Swedish and international music stars.

The laid back atmosphere in the simple interior is a perfect backdrop for a great evening of fun.

A long-standing bar and night club, Flustret has been an entertainment venue since 1842. Flustret combines a restaurant, bar, and club, where you can spend a whole day or night. The restaurant area overlooks the nearby park where Uppsala Castle is located. Chill out in the bar lounge or dance away the hours on one of the two dance floors in the club. As Flustret is a popular place and attracts quite a crowd, come earlier in the night to avoid waiting in line.

6. Palermo

The bar is located on two floors – the main area is on the ground floor and an additional seating area is located in the basement. Palermo is known for its relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. With dimmed lighting, a comfortable seating area and relaxing background music, Sherlock’s is a perfect place for a chilled evening out.
