Earlier this year, a Swedish town wanted to give its workers an hour of a paid leave to have a sex. No, this really is not fake news. Per-Erik Muskos, a councilman from the small town of Övertorneå said: ‘There are studies that show sex is healthy – It’s about having better relationships.’
Months later, something less extreme has come to Sweden: exercise at a gym for extra holiday time. While it’s obviously not as fun as a quickie at Starbucks, you can’t deny that getting a better body for an extra week’s couch-time of Netflix and chill isn’t too bad.
So what’s the catch? According to ITV News, all Swedish employees have to do is spend three hours a week toning their guns, to bag the extra week’s holiday time.
Companies throughout the nation hope that it will reduce stress and obviously help improve their employees’ health.
To nab the free holiday time, workers just have to keep a record of everything they’ve done in the gym that week, submit it online and hey presto, earn themselves a week longer of lazing on the beach in Tanzania.
BRB, just moving to Sweden right now.
