By the end of March the winter will already feel far behind us here in Barcelona, and the first edition of Brunch Electronik of 2016 taking place on the 6th is a surefire sign of the good times to come as the weather warms up. We take a look at March’s cultural highlights with everything from a special screening of Temps D’Écoute at the Filmoteca de Catalunya in honour of International Women’s Day, to the Vaccines at Sala Razzmatazz. Hold on tight – it’s going to be a good one!

Hiroshi Sugimoto is a multi-disciplinary Japanese artist, who has resided in New York since the seventies, the exhibition Black Box is a journey through his best works in the field of photography.

The Filmoteca de Catalunya will be presenting the documentary Temps d’Écoute, to shed light on the reality of women in Congo and their struggle for equality.

FILM   |   Big Eyes by Tim Burton

Tim Burton’s biographical feature film Big Eyes is based on the true story of artist Margaret Keane, who created her unique ‘big eyes’ paintings in the 50s, only to find her husband claim credit for it in the 60s.

El Flea’s motto is ‘one man’s garbage is another man’s gold.’ Explore this second-hand market where people sell and exchange clothes, accessories, books or music in good condition, at a reasonable price.
