Yogashala Institute

The Yogashala Institute was established 20 years ago and offers a variety of classes with some of the most experienced teachers in the Marbella area. In a large, light-filled room, students are instructed in ‘Smooth and Calm’ or ‘Dynamic and Fun’ styles of yoga, or specific disciplines such as Vinyasa Flow or Kundalini. The surrounding gardens provide a tranquil setting, whichever type you choose.

Yoga Theraphy Marbella

Yoga Therapy Marbella is a yoga studio and massage centre located a couple of miles out of the city centre. Its founder and instructor Ioana has been practising yoga for 28 years and studied with some of the discipline’s most distinguished teachers in a Buddhist retreat in Germany. She offers both group sessions and one-to-one classes and is also qualified in Swedish and Thai massage.

The Flow Academy

Yoga classes at The Flow Academy are divided into life’s four elements of fire, water, earth and air. Within these subcategories, two styles are available: Restorative Yoga, which provides ‘the ultimate chill out’, and YingYang Funk, which is practised to ‘funky upbeat music’. Morning and evening classes are offered in either Spanish or English, and Brazilian jiu jitsu instruction is also available.

EYWA Marbella

Located in the swanky Puerto Banús marina a few miles out of Marbella‘s city centre, the EYWA centre offers ‘a meeting place where all your senses awaken’. An experienced team offers classes in several different types of yoga – including a version specifically for children – and the studios also have a ‘detox corner’ where you can enjoy natural fruit juices.

Radiant Yoga Marbella

Radiant Yoga is located in a modern development called New Andalusia, just a few miles west of Marbella. Its team of experienced teachers aim to help each client ‘wake up to [their] true potential’ through classes in several varieties of yoga, including Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Hot Yoga. The centre’s newest offering is aerial yoga, for which five classes a week are available.

Romana Fitness Gym

Yoga classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Gimnasio Romana Fitness, a high-end gym situated near Marbella’s infamous Nikki Beach Resort. Clients benefit from a highly professional and knowledgeable staff, who specialise in Hatha Yoga, defined by the gym as ‘the physical yoga of the body’. Andalusian School of Yoga

The Escuela Andaluz de Yoga is situated in the charming town of San Pedro de Alcántara, ten miles from Marbella city. It is one of the region’s most popular yoga studios, offering classes for all levels that can be arranged according to clients’ schedules. Yoga for kids is also available, as are workshops in meditation, ‘anti-gravity’ exercises and classes in yogalates, a blend of yoga and pilates.
