This cozy, unassuming Pakistani restaurant is a true hidden gem eatery in El Raval and a favorite among locals – both Spanish and Pakistani. The service at Shalimar is generally quite fast and the waiters are generally always happy to find room to squeeze you in even when they’re busy. The dishes are well-priced and relatively cheap compared to some of the more up-market Indian restaurants in the area. This is a popular restaurant in both evenings and at lunchtime when it usually fills up with workers stopping for a filling home-cooked meal.
