La Bartola Guesthouse is a mix between a guesthouse and a hostel, offering both private and dorm rooms. It’s located in Ibiza Town, just 500 metres (1,640 feet) from the port of Ibiza and Dalt Vila Castle. Restaurants, shops and nightclubs are all located close by. The rooms are light and colourful, dressed in white with teal blue patterns and yellow and and purple soft furnishings. Breakfast is not included, but there are plenty of cafes nearby. This is huge hostel, featuring everything you need – from an outdoor pool and a cinema room to terrace areas, a breakfast room, lockers and a laundry room. While dorms are dressed in white and simply decorated, private rooms are large and bright with bold patterned wallpapers and colourful bathrooms.

Ryans Pocket Hostel is located right in the centre of Ibiza Town – the capital of the island, within walking distance to the port and the Old Town. It has just 11 guest rooms and offers double, twin and triple private rooms instead of dorms. Each room is light and bright, decorated in the Ryans Pocket Hostel signature yellow colour, with funky pop art murals on the walls, such as an interpretation of Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans. Facilities include free WiFi, a restaurant and bar, and a TV room.

6. Hostal Ceibo Ibiza

Hostel

Hostal Ceibo is more of a guesthouse than a traditional hostel. It’s set right in the heart of Ibiza Town, lying within easy walk of many major sights and restaurants. There are both individual and double rooms, which are simple yet colourfully decorated. There aren’t many other facilities, but it’s a bargain price for its location.

Located on the edge of Ibiza Town, it’s just a 10-minute walk to the famous Playa d’en Bossa beach and a few blocks from the historic port area. This place will immediately catch your eye, with its whole facade covered in bright under-the-sea-themed murals. They offer both private doubles and shared dorm rooms, each one decorated by a local artist and focusing on a different country around the world. There’s a Mexican room featuring a giant sugar skull, a South East Asian room filled with Buddha statues and prints, and one with Moroccan sand castles, lamps and cosy rugs. Facilities include a communal kitchen, lounge area, WiFi and lockers. Breakfast is also included.
