As the end of summer is in sight (boo!) the clubs in Ibiza are gearing up for one last blow out to mark the closing of the party season (yay!). So grab your glow sticks and head down to one of these closing parties for your final shape-throwing session of 2017.
What better way to start a final hurrah to the summer than a sunset boat party? While there are a few to choose from, it’s the Lost In Ibiza Boat Party that take the top prize for the best at-sea clubbing experience. Focusing on cutting edge house, the music is sure to get the party juices going while cruising along the Ibizan coastline. Tickets for the 27th September closing party also include warm-up drinks on Eden’s rooftop terrace, plus an option to include entry to Paradise at DC-10 (see below) post-boat for effortlessly seamless partying until dawn.
Despite numerous moves by local authorities to shut it down – several times successfully – DC-10 is still one of the stand-out clubs on the island. And Paradise is one of its biggest nights, so their closing party is bound to be a banger with resident DJ Jamie Jones providing underground deep sounds and tropical vibes and garage-house duo Masters at Work bringing the noise. With doors opening at 6pm (on 27 September) it’s an early start, though with over a dozen acts confirmed they’ve got a lot to squeeze in.
Certainly one of the grandaddies of Ibiza’s clubbing scene, Amnesia was one of the first clubs to have opened on the island, and remains one of the most popular. With a capacity of over 5,000 you can also expect their party to be one of the biggest closers of the season. In fact they are promising their biggest ever closing party and one “like never before” so best get your ticket in early as they’re bound to sell out fast! Amnesia, Carrer de Sant Antoni, 14, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza
While a relative newcomer to the island, Ushuaïa has already garnered legendary status on the clubbing scene. This huge open-air club is the place to see and been seen during the day, with their sessions kicking off in the afternoon and escalating into the evening. It’s well worth getting in early for some rowdy daytime action around the pool, before hitting the dance floor for what will surely be an explosive party closing out on a high on 7 October.

Officially recognised as the world’s largest nightclub by the Guinness Book of World Records, Privilege can host a whopping 10,000 people so its a fair bet this will be the biggest closer of the season. You can also expect some of the biggest names from the underground dance scene for their Afterlife Closing Party checking out for the year on the 28th September. Early bird tickets are already sold out, but there’s still time to bag your pass to what is promising to be an absolute stonker.
