Since its inception in a bar in the Gracia area ten years ago, The Guinness Laughter Lounge has positioned itself as one of the stalwarts of the comedy scene. Their regular stand-up comedy nights, which continue to grow in popularity, have gained a strong following from Barcelona’s international residents. Although the city boasts a number of amateur comedy nights, there are few events such as this that host well-known acts, which appeal to a diverse audience.
To celebrate their ten-year anniversary, they will be running a very special season with a selection of the best stand-up comedy acts from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The OFF-FRINGE season kicks off on Saturday, September 5th at the 7Sins Bar in the center of town, with a debut from Conor Drum (Dublin). He has performed on both RTÉ and BBC comedy awards and takes audiences on a laugh-a-minute adventure, covering everything from living with the opposite sex, disastrous Tinder dates and tales from his homeland.
As the summer draws to a close, why not fight off the seasonal blues and check out one of the acts below. After all, they say laughter is the best medicine!
Guinness Laughter Lounge Off-Fringe Program:
Saturday, September 5: Conor Drum
Saturday, October 3: Paul T Eyres
Saturday, November 21: Carl Donnelly
