Abraham Lacalle is a new and young painter in the Spanish art scene. Lacalle was born in Almería in 1962 and began his artistic career in the 80s. His oil and water-color paintings are characterized by the importance and subjectivity of color. There is a constant reference to the artistic movements of the 20th Century and great artists such as Marcel Duchamp or Picasso. Through his works, the artist hints at social criticism and denounces the reality we live as a consequence of the economic crisis. The exhibition ‘Incendios’ (meaning ‘fires’) will be held at Marlborough Gallery in Barcelona from the 17th of March until the 30th of April.
📅 From the 17th of March to the 30th of April. Open from 11am to 7pm.
