Sant Jordi’s Day, also known as Saint George’s Day, is a celebration around the patron saint of Catalonia and is one of the most important festivities in Catalan culture. Every year on the 23rd of April, the streets of Barcelona fill with bookstalls and stands for roses, as it is traditional for men to give roses to women, and for them to receive books. Go buy a rose or book for a special someone and enjoy the atmosphere and the special events taking place around the city!
