With its reputation for buzzing nightlife and hard partying, Ibiza isn’t the first place you think of for a family getaway. But away from the glow sticks and all-night raves, there is a quieter, more family-friendly side to the island, and these are best family hotels in Ibiza in which to find it.

1. Invisa Hotel Ereso

Hotel

While certainly not the most upscale of hotels, this three-star property is a great fit for families. For starters, an all-inclusive plan takes all the stress out of mealtimes, with plenty of kid-friendly options plus free ice cream between meals. There’s also a supervised kids’ club, playground, and separate part of the swimming pool for tots. Best of all for children, however, is the splash pool with a mini water park featuring slides, cascades, and water jets.

2. Fiesta Hotel Tanit

Another all-inclusive option that is a real hit with families, the Fiesta Hotel Tanit also has the bonus of direct access to the calm and shallow waters of Cala Gració beach. On-site facilities are super kid-friendly, comprising a kiddy pool complete with water slides, plus a poolside playground and games room. An enthusiastic animation team also organises activities throughout the day – for both children and adults – while tour operators put on free supervised mini-clubs. A babysitting service is also available for an extra charge.

3. ME Ibiza

Chain Hotel

Melia’s ME brand is famed for its uber-swish Balearic beach club vibe, and the ME Ibiza is no different. Though despite its undeniable hip, couples-friendly atmosphere, this luxury hotel has a surprising number of provisions for little people. There’s a separate swimming pool just for kids, tucked away from the more chilled out zones and supervised throughout the day with animation staff who organise regular activities. A free kids’ club also provides somewhere to drop the children off, for fun ranging from t-shirt painting to video games.

5. azuLine Club Cala Martina Ibiza

Fresh from a 2017 makeover, this family-friendly all-inclusive option comprises 120 bungalows scattered around extensive pine-scented grounds. There’s certainly no shortage of child-oriented facilities, with a free kids’ club (for four to 12 years) that opens for most of the year and a restaurant with a kids’ buffet. A splash pool includes fun water features, plus the hotel’s mascot Ollie delights the kids with a lively programme of activities and performances. Larger rooms can comfortably sleep up to a family of four, and you can also upgrade to the premium accommodation which includes a small private garden.

6. Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa, Sant Jordi de ses Salines

Resort, Spa Hotel

This upscale resort hotel really pulls out all the stops when it comes to keeping the younger guests of all ages entertained. It starts with a baby club nursery with multilingual nannies where parents can drop of their tots. A mini-club offering activities and workshops that include games, competitions and educational activities, and there’s even something for the teenagers with the likes of cinema, DJ classes, and games consoles. There’s also four pools, three themed restaurants, and extensive sports facilities for all ages, plus the bonus of Playa d’en Bossa beach just a few minutes’ walk away.

7. Hotel Anfora Ibiza, Santa Eulalia del Río

Hotel

Featuring a swish contemporary update, this hotel is certainly one of the more stylishly modern family-friendly offerings on the island. While there’s no mini-club, the property provides a lovely poolside play area that keeps the little ones happy within eyeshot of lounger-bound parents. A small animation team also organises kid-oriented activities. A separate shallow pool section is safe for the smaller guests, while older children can pop inside to a playroom complete with PlayStation consoles and a video game library. Outside of the high season the hotel is more couples-friendly, but reports suggest it fills up with kids over the school break.
