Even though it is not a problem to find a place to eat in the Sochi and Adler areas, locals and visitors are eating out on a regular basis and the best thing is that most places are open till midnight or even 2 a.m.Undoubtedly there are many elegant and family friendly restaurants for those who prefer an ordinary quite dinner, but we’ve prepared for you a list of special restaurants with local cuisine on offer.

1. D.O.M

Restaurant, Cafe, Russian

Undoubtedly you can get yourself some of the best Russian courses in the world in this place. There is a terrace with a sea view where you can have an excellent borsch made of fresh local vegetables along with a tasty steak, Russian salad, and baked potatoes. It’s not cheap, but the high quality of food is worth the extra cash once in a while. You won’t have any regrets.

2. Mechta

Established in 1993, this typical Russian restaurant is still recreating the feel of a 19th-century aristocratic dining room, and the venue has become one of the most popular in Sochi thanks to the quality of its food, menu full of typical local nourishing courses, vodka selection, and great service. The atmosphere of this restaurant is charming, yet it’s the perfect choice if you want to have a true Russian dining experience in Adler and Sochi. Don’t forget to book ahead, as it’s very popular among locals.

3. Vermishelli

Vermishelli is undoubtedly considered to be one of the beloved venues in Sochi and Adler for a true Russian and Caucasian budget quality food experience. In addition to an array of an excellent menu choice, it’s not hard to understand why the venue has gained such a popular status among Adler society. There are two possibilities to dine here. First is a-la-carte with a reservation in advance, and the second is self-service. And both of the menus are way different.

5. Dyagilev

Located right in the Russian Seasons hotel, Dyagilev provides its guests a truly amazing Russian dining experience from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Serving typical Russian food, the family-friendly venue has an excellent service and menu. Home-made portions are exceptionally tasty and huge. There is a vast choice of Russian soups and second courses, vodka list, and tea experience with cakes. Make sure to book way in advance, especially from April to mid-October.
