3. Blå Rock Cafe

‘Blå‘ is ‘blue’ in Norwegian, and, true to its name, this bar’s exterior is decorated with blue paint. Rock music is the dominant music genre here. Blå Rock Cafe stands out for being the only bar that plays rock music in Tromsø, which explains why so many young people gather to spend evenings here. Ølhallen Brewpub (‘ølhallen‘ means ‘the beer hall’ in Norwegian) was opened in 1928. Their success continued, and now it’s one of the most popular destinations to taste local beers.
