Vegetarians should have a pretty easy time of it while visiting Sicily. The cuisine is already rich in seasonal fruits and vegetables. Vegans may have a slightly more challenging time outside of major cities and tourist friendly towns, but just ask and most places will do their best to accommodate you. Make sure to indulge your vegan sweet tooth with the special chocolate from the town of Modica and with icy cold granita which is dairy free.
