There are no 5-star hotels in the Cinque Terre. What you will find are small, family owned places that are full of charm and character. There are a few hotels, but most of the accommodation is rented rooms and independent apartments. This guide will help you find the perfect place to stay in one of the Cinque Terre towns.

Il Boma

You will be right in the middle of everything at this simple townhouse in the heart of Riomaggiore. Colorful art and bed linens create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Italian/American owner of Il Boma, Maddy, makes sure you have everything you need to have a great time exploring the Cinque Terre. There are coffee makers in the rooms and a basket of fresh breakfast pastries and yogurt delivered to your door in the morning.

There are four rooms in this guesthouse in the middle of the village of Manarola, which is right in the town’s main piazza. Owned and managed by Giovanni, the Giovanni Rooms have terrific views over the village and the sea, or up towards the terraced green hills. There are design elements like exposed rock walls and LED lights embedded in the brand new modern bathrooms.

This cliffside hotel is the most luxurious in the Cinque Terre. The Porto Roco Hotel has an outdoor pool and a restaurant on site that has views over the Fegina beach below. Most of the guest rooms have balconies and sea views and there are a few suites. Hotel guests have access to a private beach club.

There are amazing views and plenty of sun loungers on the shared terrace at Elizabeth Caro Rooms in Vernazza. The three private rooms are straightforward and homey. There are a few flights of stairs to climb to reach the building. Elisabetta and her husband are available to help you find the best hiking trails, beaches and place to eat.

Corniglia, Cinque Terre🗺

Corniglia is the only town of the Cinque Terre that is is the hills and not next to the water, which makes it a great base away from the crowds so visitors can make the most of the the miles of hiking trails in the area. Luxury Self Catering Apartments are simply decorated, but comfortable. There is a kitchen and a large outside patio with views. Owners Lorenzo and Gabriel are available to answer any questions you have about the area.
